This is a cross-reference web redirection service, primarily for bioinformatics databases.

Give the xref in the format 'xdb:xkey', and your browser will be redirected to the appropriate external web page. It is a simple alternative to LSID and PURL.

Web resource

This website allows traditional access for humans using a browser. It also exposes a RESTful web service for programmatic access. Its design is based on a Resource-Oriented Architecture (ROA), which makes it unusually simple for a user to write programs that use it. See the documentation for an example.
